Sequence is the argument
A photography PDF is read as a sequence, not as a contact sheet. Order the pictures so a reviewer can follow the series without a paragraph under every image.

When a project statement helps
Use a project statement when the PDF is one body of work, one series, or one research frame. Keep it about that work. Do not paste the artist statement into that slot.

Captions, editions, and print facts
Captions usually need title, year, and process. Add print size or edition information only when the call asks for it or when the object being reviewed is a print, not a file.
Do not invent edition data for a fictional or unfinished series. If the submission wants display context (framed, lightbox, projection), say so once in the statement or caption, not as a layout trick.
