Privacy Policy
MyArtPDF is a local-first tool for artists. This page explains what data is (and is not) collected, how it is used, and the choices you have.
1. Data controller
MyArtPDF is an independent project created and maintained by a single person. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach out at:
2. Local-first studio and portfolio data
MyArtPDF is designed as a local-first tool. When you use the studio (browser or desktop app), your data stays on your device:
- Artwork images and metadata (title, medium, year, dimensions).
- Artist CV, biography and statement text.
- Project structure and export settings.
This information is stored locally on your device (for example using IndexedDB and local browser storage) or in the local storage of the desktop app. It is not uploaded to a MyArtPDF server and there is no automatic cloud sync.
You can export this data yourself as a .myartpdf file and keep it
on your own devices or backups.
3. Email updates
If you choose to contact MyArtPDF by email (for example to request early access or receive launch updates), your message and email address are received directly in a personal inbox.
Email addresses are used only to:
- Reply to your message.
- Notify you about the MyArtPDF launch or important project updates, if you requested it.
MyArtPDF does not use a third-party email marketing platform or automated newsletter system at this stage.
If you no longer wish to receive updates, you can simply reply to any email or contact hello@myartpdf.app and ask to be removed.
4. Analytics
The MyArtPDF marketing website (for example pages such as the home page, blog or documentation) may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall site traffic and usage trends.
These analytics:
- Are limited to the marketing website only.
- Are not used inside the MyArtPDF studio.
- Do not track individual users across sites.
- Do not use advertising cookies or build personal profiles.
- Provide aggregated, non-identifying statistics.
The MyArtPDF studio itself runs locally and does not include analytics or tracking.
5. Donations and payments
If you choose to support MyArtPDF via Ko-fi or another donation platform, your payment is processed by that external service. MyArtPDF does not have access to your full payment details (such as card numbers).
The donation platform may share limited information, such as your name, username or message, if you choose to provide it. This information is used only to acknowledge and manage support for the project.
6. Cookies
The MyArtPDF marketing site aims to avoid marketing cookies and invasive trackers. If cookies are used, they are limited to technical purposes or to privacy-friendly analytics as described above.
The MyArtPDF studio does not use cookies.
7. Legal basis and data retention
When applicable under your local law (for example under the GDPR in the EU), the main legal bases for processing personal data are:
- Consent – when you explicitly provide your email address to join the waitlist or receive updates.
- Legitimate interest – for using minimal analytics to understand how the site is used and improve it.
Email addresses are kept for as long as the project runs or until you unsubscribe. Aggregated analytics data may be kept longer for statistical purposes.
8. Your rights
Depending on your country, you may have rights over your personal data, such as the right to access, correct or delete it. If you have any questions or requests, you can contact: hello@myartpdf.app.
9. Changes to this policy
This privacy policy may be updated occasionally as the project evolves. When that happens, the “last updated” date will be changed.
Last updated: December 2025.
