Privacy Policy

MyArtPDF is a local-first tool for artists. This page explains what data is (and is not) collected, how it is used, and the choices you have.

1. Data controller

MyArtPDF is an independent project created and maintained by a single person. If you have any questions about this policy, you can reach out at:

hello@myartpdf.app

2. Local-first studio and portfolio data

MyArtPDF is designed as a local-first tool. When you use the studio, your data stays on your device:

  • Artwork images and metadata (title, medium, year, dimensions).
  • Artist CV, biography and statement text.
  • Project structure and export settings.

This information is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to a MyArtPDF server and there is no automatic cloud sync.

You can export this data yourself as a .myartpdf file and keep it on your own devices or backups.

3. Email updates

If you choose to contact MyArtPDF by email (for example to request early access or receive launch updates), your message and email address are received directly in a personal inbox.

Email addresses are used only to:

  • Reply to your message.
  • Notify you about the MyArtPDF launch or important project updates, if you requested it.

If you no longer wish to receive updates, you can simply reply to any email or contact hello@myartpdf.app and ask to be removed.

4. Analytics

The MyArtPDF marketing website may use privacy-first product analytics to understand overall site traffic, CTA performance and usage trends.

These analytics:

  • Are limited to the marketing website only.
  • Are not used inside the MyArtPDF studio.
  • Run in cookieless mode.
  • Do not use advertising cookies or build personal profiles.
  • Help measure page views, CTA clicks and waitlist conversions.

The MyArtPDF studio itself runs locally and does not include analytics or tracking.

5. Purchases and payments

If you purchase MyArtPDF Pro, your payment is processed by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment processing, VAT collection, and compliance on our behalf. MyArtPDF does not store or have access to your full payment details (such as card numbers).

Lemon Squeezy may share limited information — such as your email address and purchase identifier — to fulfil the transaction and deliver your license key. This information is used only to manage your purchase and provide support.

For details on how Lemon Squeezy handles your data, see their privacy policy.

6. License activation

If you purchase MyArtPDF Pro, the application may require a one-time license activation. During activation, limited technical information may be transmitted to verify the validity of the license:

  • License key or purchase identifier.
  • Application version.
  • Basic device information required for license validation.

This information is used only to verify the license and prevent abuse. It is not used for tracking or advertising.

No portfolio data, artworks, texts or documents are transmitted during license activation.

7. Cookies

The MyArtPDF marketing site aims to avoid marketing cookies and invasive trackers. If cookies are used, they are limited to technical purposes or to privacy-friendly analytics as described above.

The MyArtPDF studio does not use cookies.

8. Legal basis and data retention

When applicable under your local law (for example under the GDPR in the EU), the main legal bases for processing personal data are:

  • Consent – when you explicitly provide your email address to join the waitlist or receive updates.
  • Legitimate interest – for using minimal analytics to understand how the site is used and improve it.
  • Contract – when processing purchase and license information to fulfil a Pro purchase.

Email addresses are kept for as long as the project runs or until you unsubscribe. Purchase records are kept as required by applicable accounting and legal obligations. Aggregated analytics data may be kept longer for statistical purposes.

9. Your rights

Depending on your country, you may have rights over your personal data, such as the right to access, correct or delete it. If you have any questions or requests, you can contact: hello@myartpdf.app.

10. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated occasionally as the project evolves. When that happens, the "last updated" date will be changed.

Last updated: March 2026.
