Ivo Serrat — Rendered Environments
A digital-art example that treats stills, display context, and medium as submission facts: not as a tour of software tools.

What's inside this portfolio
This sample uses the sections below. You can include a cover, table of contents, artist statement, project statement, biography, CV, artworks, and a contact page. None of these is universally required except where a call specifies it.
-
Cover
A quiet opening page with the artist name, project title, and year. No logo wall, no decorative layout.
-
Table of contents
Generated automatically by MyArtPDF with page numbers calculated from the final document. Especially useful when the PDF includes statements, a CV, and several artwork pages.
-
Project statement (Rendered Environments, 2024–2026)
Optional. Used when the portfolio needs context for a specific body of work, series, research question, or application.
-
Artist statement
Describes the artist's overall practice. Optional in some submissions; this sample includes one.
-
Biography
A short professional background. Optional depending on the call; this sample includes one.
-
Artist CV
Structured artist CV content using the categories MyArtPDF supports. Optional if the call asks for a separate CV file.
-
Artwork pages
The selected work in project order, with consistent captions.
-
Contact page
Generated closing page using the artist's project contact details.
A PDF is still a still document
Moving image, real-time work, and installation do not play inside a PDF. What you send is a still that can be reviewed: a key frame, a chosen camera, a photograph of the piece in space.
If duration, loop, or interactivity matters, put it in the caption or the project statement. Do not expect the file format to demonstrate time.
Rendered Environments, 2024–2026
This sample uses a project statement titled Rendered Environments, 2024–2026 because the PDF is one body of work, not a tool demo. The artist statement, if included, still describes the overall practice.
Name software only when it adds a fact a reviewer can use. “Digital still, 2025” is often clearer than a list of applications.
Display context without a tech deck
If the work is meant for a screen, a projection, or a print, say so once. Keep stills large. Keep captions consistent: title, year, medium, and dimensions or duration where they apply.
The sample project Rendered Environments is built as a submission PDF, not as a making-of.
Submission checklist
- Check the submission's requested file format.

- Use a clear filename.
- Confirm contact details.
- Open the final PDF and inspect every page before submitting.
- Name the medium in a way a reviewer can use, not as a software list.
- If the work is moving image or installation, say so in the caption and give duration where it matters.
- Keep stills large and quiet enough for a PDF review.
- Always follow the submission requirements of the gallery, residency, school, grant, or open call you are applying to.
